Arunachal
Pradesh, situated in the eastern nook of India where the sun strikes
its rays before illuminating the rest of the country, is a land

administrator. Entry into Arunachal Pradesh was regulated by an
Inner Line Permit System but now the state encourages and invites
tourists to relax in its picturesque hills and dales and to enjoy
its salubrious climate and meet its simple and hospitable people,
with their glorious heritage of arts and crafts and colourful
festivals that reflect their ancient faiths in the inexorable
power of Nature.
A visitors has a rich variety of option to prepare his schedule
of tours. There are places of worship and pilgrimage such as Prasuramkund
and the Tawang Monastery; the sites of archaeological excavtion
like Malinithan and Itanagar; the serene beauty of lakes such
as the Ganga Lake or the Sela Lake; or the numerous variations
of species of flowers and herbs prosper. In addition, the state
also offers opportunities for sports such as angling, boating,
rafting, trekking and hiking.
Besides, there are a number of wildlife sanctuaries and national
parks where rare animals, birds and plants will fascinate the
visitor. The Buddhist temple provides a good view of the capital
town of Itanagar. Naharlagun, has a Polo Park and a interesting
botonical garden atop a ridge. It provides glimpses of Himalayan
fauna.
